Add your first domain

Connect a domain you already own in two short steps.

Before you begin

You need the name of a domain you already own, for example example.com. Domain Flock connects existing domains. Registering a brand-new domain isn't supported yet.

You don't need to give us any passwords or access to your registrar. If you want to move the domain itself, use Transfers instead.

Adding a domain

Click Add domain

Use the Add domain button at the top of any page. On a phone it shows as a round + button. Read-only members don't see this button.

Fill in the domain details

Enter the domain name. You can also fill in the current registrar, the expiry date, a group, a client, and whether the domain renews automatically. Everything except the domain name is optional. Leave the registrar or expiry date empty and we will try to find them for you. Then click Connect domain.

Tell us what the domain is used for

We ask whether the domain is a website (Is example.com a website?) and you choose one of three options. They are explained below. Click Connect domain again to finish.

What the domain is used for

  • Yes, it's a website: we check whether the website is reachable, its SSL certificate and its security headers. If the website runs on an unusual port, you can enter the port here.
  • No, it's something else: for mail, DNS or another service that isn't a website. We skip the website checks but still track DNS, DMARC and blacklist status.
  • Not monitored: we only keep track of the registration and its expiry date. No checks are run.

You can change this later when you edit the domain.

If you have reached the domain limit of your plan, the form tells you so and links to Upgrade your plan.
