Adding domains in detail
Everything you can fill in when you add a domain, and how to change it afterwards.
Adding one domain
Domains are added one at a time with the Add domain button. There is no bulk import for pasting a list of domains yet. For a quick walkthrough, see Add your first domain.
The details you can fill in
- Domain name: required.
- Current registrar: the company the domain is registered with. If you leave it empty, we try to find it.
- Expiry date: when the registration runs out. If you leave it empty, we try to find it. Fill it in yourself if we can't.
- Group: a way to organise domains by project, environment or any other category.
- Client: which client the domain belongs to. Only useful if you work with clients.
- Auto-renew this domain: tick this if the domain renews automatically at your registrar.
On the second step you choose what the domain is used for: a website, something else, or not monitored. See Add your first domain.
Renewal cost
You can add what the domain costs per year when you edit the domain. When you do, your default currency is pre-selected. You can change that default in your account settings.
Domain limit
Your plan has a limit on the number of domains. When you reach it, the form says so and offers a link to upgrade.
