Monitoring & alerts
Alert thresholds
When Domain Flock shows an issue or sends you an email.
Domain registration
A domain counts as expiring on the dashboard and monitoring page when its registration ends within 30 days.
By email you can get up to three warnings: 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the registration ends. You can switch each of these on or off, see Notification channels.
SSL certificate
A certificate counts as SSL expiring soon when it expires within 30 days. If we can't check the certificate at all, the issue is SSL check failed. Emails about the certificate are sent at 30 days and 7 days before it expires, and when it can't be checked.
Website not reachable
You get an Unreachable issue when the domain doesn't resolve or doesn't respond. This only applies to domains marked as a website.
Tip: If a domain isn't a website, for example because it's only used for email, set its service to No, it's something else in the edit page so we don't check for a website.
Security headers
You get a Security headers issue when a website is missing one or more recommended security headers. These are settings that help protect your visitors. Your web developer or hosting company can usually add them.
Blacklists
You get a Blacklist issue when the domain or its IP address is listed on a DNS blacklist. Being listed can cause your outgoing email to be dropped or marked as spam.
Other issues
We also show issues about the domain's DNS and email settings: Nameservers changed, SPF, CAA and DNSSEC broken. Each issue's page explains what it means and how to fix it.
