Monitoring & alerts
Notification channels
Choose which alerts you get by email, and connect other services with webhooks.
Alerts are sent to you by email. You choose which ones in Settings: click Manage notifications under Notifications.
Which emails you can switch on or off
- Expiry alert: 30 days: the domain registration expires within 30 days.
- Expiry alert: 7 days: it expires within 7 days.
- Expiry alert: 1 day: it expires tomorrow.
- Reachability alerts: the domain stops resolving or responding.
- SSL certificate alerts: the certificate is invalid, unreachable or expiring soon.
- Security header alerts: the domain is missing recommended security headers.
- Blacklist alerts: the domain has been listed on a DNS blacklist.
- DMARC alerts: one or more senders are failing DMARC authentication for your domain.
- Webhook delivery failures: a webhook repeatedly fails to accept messages.
Click Save preferences when you're done. If monitoring is switched off, the domain alerts are hidden on this page. Your choices are kept and apply again when you switch monitoring back on.
Webhooks
A webhook lets Domain Flock automatically send a message to another service when something happens. This is an optional feature, mostly useful if you work with a developer.
Go to Settings and click Manage webhooks. Click Add webhook to create one. For each webhook you enter the address that should receive the messages and choose the events to send. The events are Reachability alerts, SSL certificate alerts, DNS change history and DMARC reports.
The webhooks list shows each address with its events, a status of Active or Failing, and the last delivery. Use Test to send a test message, and Edit to change a webhook.
