Editing & deleting domains

Change a domain's details or remove it from Domain Flock.

Editing a domain

Open the domain and use the edit option on its page. You need to be an owner or an editor to do this. Read-only members can look but can't change anything. See Roles & permissions.

What you can change

  • Registrar: the company where the domain is registered.
  • Expiry date: when the registration expires.
  • Group: the group the domain belongs to.
  • Client: the client the domain belongs to.
  • Auto-renew: whether the domain renews automatically.
  • Renewal cost: what you pay to renew the domain, per year.
  • Service: whether the domain is a website, something else, or not monitored, plus the port if the website uses an unusual one. See Add your first domain.

The edit page has no field for the domain name itself.

Removing a domain

At the bottom of the edit page, in the Danger zone, click Remove domain. You are asked to confirm with Permanently remove this domain. This can't be undone.

Removing a domain stops Domain Flock from tracking its registration and expiry, and deletes the check results stored for it.
